Terms And Conditions

  1. 1. The Bedford Just Because 48 Hour Film Challenge 2015 is administered by Bedford Film Making Cooperative (BFMC)
  2. 2. The Challenge is open to all filmmakers and/or creative people and entrants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or must have a parent or legal guardian sign the Participant's Agreement for them.
  3. 3. The named entrant (and all participants under 18) must complete the Participant's Agreement for the film to be eligible for the final screenings. The signed form should be emailed to us at the same time as sending your uploaded film.
  4. 4. Contributors must reside, or be a student, in the following counties; Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire and London.
  5. 5. Teams will register online by Thursday 9th of July 2015.
  6. 6. The 48 hours begins from when all teams have their brief (around 7pm on Friday 10th July 2015) and all the creative work must take part in that time period. The only preproduction permissible is the organising of cast and crew (the team), securing equipment and scouting for possible locations. Bear in mind that there are laws and regulations regarding filming in public locations and places that might be considered public. Make sure you have proper permissions in place. BFMC takes no responsibility for infractions of local by-laws in this regard, which is detailed in the agreement to be signed by all participants.
  7. 7. Teams participating will upload their films to Vimeo and send the link to 48hour@bedfordfilmmakingcooperative.co.uk on Sunday 12 July 2015 by 7pm (subjectvto change if there are any delays in the challenge beginning, you will be notified via the Facebook page and twitter feed)
  8. 8. All teams MUST have a team name, which BFMC uses for identification
  9. 9. High quality MP4’s must also be sent via drop box to the same email address, or on a DVD or a USB sent to Bedford Filmmaking Cooperative, 10 Salisbury Street, Bedford, MK41 7RE before the 1st of September 2015
  10. 10. By entering the Challenge, the Entrant agrees to abide by all provisions in these rules and accept the decisions of BFMC and the judges as final and binding in all respects. BFMC reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant who fails to comply with the Rules, at its sole discretion.
  11. 11. There is NO fee or charge for entering the Challenge and ALL costs for production and submission must be born by the Team.
  12. 12. There is NO fee paid to the teams in any respect for the film entered neither in part or full use of the film.
